About MaquiBright®

MaquiBright® is the only standardized extract of Maqui (botanical name Aristotelia chilensis) berries, providing rich purified flavonoids of which 25% represent delphinidins and 35% anthocyanins .* Research has shown that specific delphinidin- glucoside species, naturally prevailing predominantly in Chilean maqui berries and the extract there of MaquiBright®, but scarcely in other berry species, are absorbed into lachrymal gland cells, to quench oxidative.

stress inside cells and hence to naturally restore tear fluid generation.

In pre-clinical studies MaquiBright® was proven to be superior to other berry extracts for restoration of healthy tear fluid secretion. Bilberry extract displayed only 30% of the efficacy of MaquiBright® and black currant extract only 21%, respectively [Nakumara et al., 2014].
